There is a central office in Brussels. The Fietsersbond consists of more than 100 local sections.
The Fietsersbond (Flemish Cyclists’ Association) is campaigning for cyclists in the Dutch-speaking parts of Belgium (Flanders and Brussels). We are committed to all cyclists with an emphasis on commuting and utility cyclists. Our aim is to help create a safe, healthy and enjoyable cycling environment.
We put pressure on policymakers, collaborate with municipalities via our local sections, give advice, carry out actions and provide services to governments (‘Meetfiets’: a hightech bike that audits cycling routes and infrastructure) and companies (Bike to Work). The experience of our more than 23,000 members, the efforts of hundreds of volunteers and the strength of our organization make us the perfect advocate of the cyclists of today and the ones of tomorrow.
