Organization

GRACQ – Les Cyclistes Quotidiens is primarily an association of members. With 1500 members in Brussels and Wallonia, it can count on about fifty local groups that organize trips, lobbying activities and communal.

Since 1999, GRACQ also relies on various employees (about 7 in recent years). They coordinate local groups or communication, manage the contributions and services to members, participate in various consultation meetings, promote the exchange of experiences among members…

Short Summary

GRACQ – Les Cyclistes Quotidiens is a non-profit and without political affiliation organization whose main purpose is the promotion of cycling as a means of travel.

Our goal is to create conditions so that anyone wishing to travel by bike can do under the best conditions (intermodality, accessibility, security, simplicity).

Our strategies are based on promoting a positive image and friendly cycling on militant activities, constructive and gatherings, on partnership and put forward the fun and well-being provided by this means of travel.

Example activities

Our actions are reported in our magazine Ville-à-Vélo, published 6 times per year.

  • Local, regional and national lobbying : bike commissions, road safety commission…
  • Campaigns and actions to cyclists and other road users, media, political decision makers : « light » action, « modal shift » action, etc.
  • Providing documents for the communication of local groups and the monitoring of cycle policy
  • Participation to events like « European Mobility Week »
  • Urban bike training.
